warning: you might barf.

from all the cuteness.

halloween comes early when you have a
one yearold niece and a mother who
buys costumes in hong kong.

i'm afraid of americans

So i went to San Diego and LA with ma mere
and it was pretty interesting.

San Diego skyline

We rode these trolley's everywhere

my mom was having fun?

the portion size in the states is insano.
no wonder they've got a problem with obesity.
we ate mexican. sole reason why i was pumped on
going to the states at all.

we decided we were going to be really
lame and touristy. we never do that we usually
blend in with the crowd. but who is there to
impress in the states anyways?

(i hate americans)

i took this merely for an anchorman reference.
i'll let you fill that in yourselves.

don't you just love remaining images of sexism?

i saw this bike on the rode and snapped a photo
of the handlebars because i haven't seen ones
like that before, and totally got busted by the
owner. he called them nun chucks. it was pretty gay.

after an exhausting two days in san diego we took
the amtrak train to LA. my mom originally wanted to
take a greyhound but apparently this nervous nancy
doesn't want her head cut off.
(too soon?)

(out of order but these are still san diego)delicious but i just can't eat that much!

Manhattan Beach in LA

my mom yelled at me for this "dejected tourist"
pose i pulled. i thought it was funny so i did
it again:

"Little Bird vs. Wild Water Part 3: Not Impressed"

we then met up with my uncle lou (white shirt) and he took
us to Venice beach to this C & O italian restaurant (patbro try it)
it was fun, the servers drink with you and i went head to
head with his wife to finish all the wine on the table.

all in all it was a fun trip. spent too much money
and saw some lack luster things. by the end of it
my mother and i couldn't wait to touch canadian
soil again.

patrick how could you leave here for there!

oh wait...

apparently i'm too sick to fly that far
so we're going to san diego tomorrow.
hopefully i'll feel better?
this girl's my favorite right now.

listen to "out of your league" here.
it was a favorite for a while.

last night a dj saved my life

tonight this is going down at the club
and i'm going to be working it.
you should probably come check it out?
(i've got free tickets pour vous)
also i've been calling paris all afternoon
and have realized i need to work on my
french skills.

girl, you'll be a woman soon...

Last night Glennatard and i went to see
this magnificent man:

i had bought the tickets for his birthday in june
and the show was pretty awesome.
it felt like i was watching a 2 hour snl skit?
the man's mid-show narration is legendary.

yesterday we also drove half an hour to get
hot dogs at Skinner's in Lockport.
(a great little diner by the river that
i practically grew up in).
they have personal jukeboxes too for
rock 'n roll lunches!
it was pretty much the best day ever.

texas of the north

i'm going to calgary for 24 hours on
wednesday.

anyone ever been and know of shopping places
or eating places?

also, this weekend we thought a family of raccoons
died in Glenn's attic, but it turns out his roommate
just cooked fish.

weird.

busy busy

thank god my internal clock is less of a
blonde reet than i am because it woke me up
exactly on time.

i didn't get home until 4 from working
at the club, and the party there last night
was pretty unreal. plus it was me and dennis lazo
working the bar so of course it was a good time.

i work at 4 at noir and i had completely forgot
that i have a client at the addictions group
at 2:00. i hadn't even set my alarm for earlier
than that. for some reason my body is a hell
of a lot smarter than i am.

drop it like it's hot

upon browsing fixies online it seems everyone
is into bmx handlebars or bullhorns (or the weird
mustache handlebars for bike messengers).
it hasn't reached winnipeg yet (as we're about
last on the list to get anything) but i'm still
into the classic drops.

did you know that bullhorns were created because
people kept cutting their drops and flipping them
upside down to ride?

i'm just not digging it?

(although this bike is pretty insane)

i'm into this color scheme
