today is my day off. my only one

this week. i've spent it going for

my weekly coffee/lunch with joel,

getting my eyebrows threaded too thin by

a slightly manic east indian lady, and

suntanning in the backyard for hours

while trying to prevent my niece

from launching herself off the deck

and dying on my watch.

it's been a pretty uneventful day i'd say.

my car exploded a few days ago in the

middle of rush hour on a very busy

street (kenaston). it started on fire.

it was a pretty fun experience.

she's back now and working, and now

i have nothing to do all day.

being broke and friendless really is

taking it's toll.

also i quit my job.

so i need another one.

which is really just an excuse to get the

in actuality i'm sitting here getting antsy

from the caffiene and depressed from

my current situation.

i'm taking a break from the fight

against nicotine this week.

I'm quitting smoking right now

and just survived two very hard

days of cravings.

it doesn't help that my current

boss is a chimney and smokes inside

my place of work before and after

we're open and several times in between.

tonight is my friend's going away party

and another lovely lady's wedding social.

hopefully i can make to and through both

without bribing people to smoke with me.
