screw cancer

cancer is a messed up disease. it's one of
those diseases that will affect 90% of north
american's in their life time. 1 in 2 men will
develop cancer in their life time, and that goes
for 1 in 3 women as well.

we need to rally some troops to tell
cancer to go F itself.

i don't know this guy. but i know someone
who cares about him. myself, being someone who
cares about someone fighting cancer,
i know how horrible it feels.

if you have some change hanging around
donate it. if you live in vancouver, throw,
or go to the fundraisers. if you have neither,
post this around and get the word out.
THIS is something we can do.
it is something we can do to not only change
one life, but all the lives of the people
who know and love this person.

James is 32 years old and has been struggling with Neuroendocrine cancer since he was 23 in pilot school and had his whole life ahead of him to fulfill his dreams. Instead, James has been fighting to survive. In the past 9 years James has undergone 3 major operations including a Whipple procedure and 2 liver resections, as well as 2 Chemo treatments.

In late April, after being in remission for 2 years, 3 new spots were identified on his liver through a routine CT Scan at which time James had to make the difficult decision to leave his job as a Smokejumper with Parattack to face his disease again. Upon arrival in Vancouver his medical team advised that the only curative option was for James to undergo a liver transplant. After spending months of coming to terms with this potential life changing procedure, canvassing for a liver and undergoing many screening processes - three new spots have appeared on his lungs and James no longer qualifies for a new liver at this time.

James’s cancer is advancing, and his team of doctors are trying one final treatment on the metastatic liver tumors. However, this Radioembolization procedure is still going through clinical trials and is not yet approved to be covered by Health Canada, Medical Services Plan, or any other private insurance provider.

The treatment costs $16,000 and is to start the beginning of November. This is this just the beginning of his first treatment to health and wellness...

Please help James continue on his journey to survive and fulfill his dream of life by:
